TEXTURES
- Extensions: .jpg
- Dimensions:
- ground tiling textures: 4096 x 4096 px (diffuse, normal, specular, roughness)
- ground mask textures: 8192 x 8192 px (mask)
- cycads: 8192 x 8192 px (diffuse, normal, specular, roughness, alpha)
- pinetrees: 8192 x 8192 px (diffuse, normal, specular, roughness, alpha)
- stones: 8192 x 8192 px (diffuse, normal, specular, roughness)
The cycad and pine tree textures are used for every cycad and pine tree model respectively (which combined with the fact that the models are low poly makes them ideal for being used in large quantities without using much memory). The material nodes for this trees uses a variation of hue/saturation/brightness to make the trees look different giving them a more natural and realistic look.
PARTICLE SYSTEMS
The pine trees, cycads, stones and grass are distributed through the ground by particle systems but not in a random way. Their position was chosen manually and it can be easily changed using the Particle Edit Mode in Blender.
